How do I uninstall an RPM?
If I no longer wish to use an app, or it doesn't function properly. How do I uninstall it? Both if it were installed via an RPM or not.
Thanks

rpm -e packagename (leave off the .rpm bit)
Or not...
That'd depend on the program. Sometimes a "make uninstall" might do it
Cool

Mandrake comes with a software management (rpmdrake), and KDE has one, too - I bet other newer distros will have something similar. You can simply choose to uninstall any rpm.
For other programs (like those which come in a tarball or so) you'll have to look for info in the text files which came with the program.

you're better off using the mandrake tools. Go to mandrake control center and then to software management.
From the command line it's
rpmdrake-remove
for uninstall and
rpmdrake
for installing.
Ooops, this is for people with mandrake. The kde packager is called kpackage - you might have to install it first, though.
