How do I underclock my Nvidia card?

My fan on my videocard is not working properly and for high graphic games under windows and linux I need to underclock my card a tad. I know how in windows, but in linux (fadora core 2) I have no idea. Is there an application or can I do it all through commands?
I have a GeForce 4 128 DDR
THanks in advance
