Question How do i turn up the volume!?


ok, stupid questiom. i know. but i guess that is why i'm here. where are the volume controls for KDE, they're not in the taskbar at the bottom, and i looked all over the "start" menu.
i feel like a moron
can someone help?

K menu > Multimedia >Sound > kmix ( Sound Mixer ) or if you mean system sounds try K menu >Settings > Control Center > Sound & Multimedia .

I use GNOME, but I logged into to KDE and as far as I can tell the volume control is KMix (should be on the Sound & Video menu). Once you start it, it places an icon on the panel, maing it easier to find next time. You may want to put KMix in KDE's autostart menu so that it'll start automatically when you log in. You should be able to drap and drop it into this directory:
/home/username/.kde/Autostart

thanks guys, i thought soemthing might be wrong with my computer, but kmix worked
