How do I turn off the firewall?
 

I installed Trustix and my web server is not working. Neither is lynx - it can't access outside files or even 127.0.0.1

I'm trying to see if the firewall is the problem.

How do I turn it off and on?

In Redhat at least, its in main menu ----> system settings ----> security level. Not sure about other distros.

it never ceases to amaze me how few people read the manual pages. My friend saw me put mplayer fullscreen and asked "How did you know how to do that?" I said "I read the manual".
