Question How do I turn off Sendmail forever?

while trying to configure Postfix, one of the steps is to turn off Sendmail. In the install instructions it says the command is:

# /usr/sbin/sendmail.OFF -q

When I enter this it replies:

bash: /usr/sbin/sendmail.OFF: No such file or directory

HELP

Are you running X or CLI?

Also try this command if cli:

sendmail stop
sendmail off

Try this If X:

as a user is ok. go to the services tab because it will eventually ask for your root password. You should see something about sendmail if it is running.

Then just click to stop and turn off the service.
