How do I solve: "TCL is not part of the NS project"?

Hi,
I am really new to Linux and I have to learn it because some of my faculty projects have to be done in Linux. Particularly I am interested in the Network Simulator 2. I have downloaded its installation and I started it, but in the middle of the process it says "TCL is not part of the NS project". I have checked and I have installed TCL on my distribution (Open Suse 32 bit). I suspect that the version of TCL that I have installed is different than the installation expects it to be. Am I right?
Can anyone help me solve this and describe me as detailed as possible because I am really new into Linux.
Thanks,
Vladimir

this is neither a suggestion nor feedback about linuxquestions.org and as such is in the wrong forum, and will shortly be moved. can i ask why you chose to post in this forum? was it simply because it was the one at the top of the list?

I've moved this thread, but an answer to the question posed by Chris would be appreciated and may help improve LQ.

Can you be more specific? I don't understand the lingo.

You need TCL with development packages. If it doesn't work, there's always ns-allinone package with TCL (and more stuff) included.

"TCL is not part of the NS project"

Well, thank You guys that you are trying to solve my problem. Here is what I have to add:
I HAVE downloaded NS-allinone2.30 and plus while installing the distribution of Linux, I checked the checkbox saying "TCL" so I definitely have it on my system. So, I go to the Gnome terminal, and write something like "xzf -tar ns-allinone2.30.gz" , and then it unpacks itself (I suppose ?!), and then i write "./install". After that the installation begins, but after unpacking some .c files, the installation stops, when trying to unpack (I suppose ) some .tcl files, saying "TCL is not part of the ns project". Then the installation fails.
Help me up, please
