How do I set up a server on a lan?

I'd like to set up a server on a lan. I have fedora2 up and runningand connected to the router. The other computers connected to the router are running windows xp and OSx. I have 1days experience with linux so far and can see it's going to take time to get the hang of it...

any help is much appreciated...

Check out a server distro called SME Server

I'm playing with SME Server myself, learning learning ...

hope this helps

oh btw
