how do i send voice mail with ftp and audacity

The thing I want to do is to send a small mp3 file, which would represent a voice message, say a couple of minuets long. This mp3 would be sent from one user “ local box A “ to another user on “ remote box B “ and for this mp3 file to be placed in the remote users' home directory, say in a directory called voice mail. I have been learning how to use ssh & sftp but it looks like if ssh or sftp was used to it would learned to the sender have to much control over the remote user account. I do not want to use email and attachmets to do the jod. I would see it cleaner to first use auda city to record the mp3 file then send this file with gftp app. With gftp the directory on both sides of the exchange can be set with a bookmark. So in gftp app, just pick the remote users bookmark that as been set up to go to the remote users' home/voice-mail directory. The local directory voice-mail would where you would place auda city mp3 voice mail message. So i see that it needs some kind of ftp setup to do the job.

Your replies are well come.
