How do i save my routing table?

My laptop boots with fedora 5. i change my routing table but after rebooting my system obtain a new ip from the dhscp server and aaaall other routes are being deleted.Im also connected to a wireless interface for which i also insert appropriate routing addresses. How can i save the routing table i want so after rebooting will remain unchanged?

And another question. How can i test ONLY from my console if i have an internet connection? With which command? For example test my connectivity to the internet by trying connecting with google web page.

Many thanks!!!

1 ; Maybe you could write a shell script to change your routing table at startup?

2 ; I'm not sure what you mean but...maybe netstat, ping, and traceroute might help.

1. Shell script? what do i write in it and when do i store it?
2.i tried ping and traceroute, but i get 100% loss with ping and trace root gives me nothing:
1 * * *
2 * * *
3 * * *
4 * * *
5 * * *
6 * * *

Why do u think this is happening? With browser i have normal access to google but with ping not...
