Ah, hold on, does linsmire do rpm? I don't know. What does limewire recomend for linsmire?
Limewire ain't that great anyway. I prefer gtk-gnutella, but YMMV... |
You might have abit of trouble installing rpm packages on Debian based Linspire. They should have Limewire or similar in their package system.

What he said.

Linspire is based on Debian, so uses debian packages *.debs and not *.rpm. There are ways to convert rpms to debian packages, but I would just look for a Debian package first.
|
and to install a debian package, you can use either the builtin GUI packager (I am unaware of what linspire comes with) or install using:
dpkg -i package.deb |
rpm's in linspire
If your still looking to install RPM"S in Linspire, use Alien to install them. Example with Limewire, alien -i (filename.rpm). This will work for you then. You have to this as root.
