how do I know which rpm to use

How can I find out what rpm I need for my system?

I didn't install the software on my server.

I typed this.
[root@www3 logs]# uname -a
Linux www3 2.6.11-1.14_FC3smp #1 SMP Thu Apr 7 19:38:19 EDT 2005 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux

I have webmin setup to install the rpm packages for me.
When I did a search for analog I came up with a lot of packages.
I don't want to install the wrong program.

Can you help me?
Thank you

Dave.

You need the rpms which will have .i686.FC3.rpm - or whatever FC version you have

Yes. Since you have Fedora Core 3, you'll be looking for rpms with .FC3 in them.

Should work fine. Just do
