how do I install the blackbox GUI on mandrake 10?
 

hey...I downloaded the latest blackbox GUI from their website, and I need to know where to extract this thing to work... what directory?

any help will be GREATLY appreciated. this thing has been dumbfounding me for the past week. :scratch:

just unpack in your home directory or /usr/src/ and install it as as a root.

I did that...but it says I dont have the privelige to unzip it to there...how Do I log in to root or whatever to be bale to have the privelige of unzipping here?

To login as root from the shell you must type

su - at the prompt
then enter your root password

now install to that directory :)
