thanks for the info i got it loaded but it only loads in the comand line, how do i load into a gui? I loaded the full install of 2gb. All i can load into is root@darkstar:

slack won't configure X during install.. run xf86config from the command to configure X...
then you can use startx to start into gui after logging in or edit your /etc/inittab file to start in runlevel 4 instead of 3..

bah sorry i believe the second hdd would be hda1 or hda2 depending what is set so cfdisk /dev/hda1 or cfdisk /dev/hda2
