How do i Install Slackware 10.0 onto an external HDD

I have a 20GB external USB HDD that i want to install Slackware 10.0 onto. I can't find a bootdisk that'll allow me to do it, and i can't figure out what to do. I want to get heavy into Linux from the get-go, and am a Macintosh Admin for a technical school. I know Mac, I know Windows, LINUX is what i need now. Any help is appreciated.

I'm afraid that if the BIOS doesn't have some
special feature that will allow you to treat the
external device as if it were IDE you'd have to
create a special boot-disk to be able to do that.

Cheers,
Tink
