how do I install new libraries?

I want to run Lmule on my slackware 10, The install file mentions that i need wxwindows libraries. And that i need to compile them. My question is, on what directory should i do that? i've tried to compile that thing before but it didn't seem to work...

and, after i compile Lmule with the wx libraries, is it ok for me to just erase them? i don't think i'd be needing them anymore.

please help

I don't like this kind of answer, but maybe it could be useful for you: Have you tried amule?

Anyway, if there is some particular reason to install lmule, be careful about which version of the libraries you get, as lmule could not compile with "too new" ones.

Good luck!
