How Do I Install deDECTED onto Kali-Linux or Audacity onto BT5R2

I used to be able to be able to sniff DECT phones on BT5R2 but now I can't.

I cannot load Audacity onto BT5R2 but I have deDECTED. I have Audacity on kali-linux but no deDECTED.

Can I marry the two together to get my sniffing going again?

I am also new to Linux and BackTrack.

Kali is "the new Backtrack" so IMHO you should go for that. Kali is based on Debian so first check available repos for packages. Else check the deDECTED SVN trunk for the source README and follow the instructions. The latter is not trivial because to use it you would have to compile Kismet, deDECTED and a kernel module. Since you're new to Linux please look for starter tutorials for Linux and check the Kali Linux documentation.
