How do I get Java to work in Konqueror?

Hi all,
I can't get Java to work in Konqueror: In Settings->Configure
Konqueror->Konqueror Browser->Java, the "Enable
Java Globally" tickbox is set to on, and the path to the Java
executable is set to "Java" (which is in /usr/lib/java/bin/java according to "which java"). However, Java Applets either display nothing, like the BBC's news ticker tape thing, or usually, or just say "Loading Applet"...and then nothing happens. Everything looks fine to me- what is wrong?

(By the way, I'm running SuSE 7.3, and Konqueror 2.2.1)

Thanks

Paul

You have to install a JRE, there are instructions for konqueror here, use the 1.3.1 version.
