How do I do a dual boot with Linux Suse Pro and win 2000 corp?

Ok so I've got a toshiba satellite and I would like some help figureing out how to have both Suse and Win 2000 Corp on the same hard drive. I think you have to install win on half the disk first, right?

First - partition the disk. Put Win2K on the first partition, then put SuSE on the second. Check out the LinuxAnswers section, there is a dual boot howto in there. Also, do a Search of LQ for "dual boot" you'd be surprised how often this question is asked.

And Welcome to LQ :D

also: you'll really want to install windows FIRST
and SuSE comes with a bootloader it will install to allow you to access both systems

hello...ok..the first thing i would tell you to do is to format the hard drive and make the partitions. then install windows. and then linux. install linux 2nd because it will write over the MBR and then you can choose what you would like to boot into.
