How do I DISABLE OR REMOVE Linux Hotkeys ????

Hello There,
I have installed Alias Wavefront Maya 5 in my linux Red Hat 9. But I am unable to work because linux have these hotkeys ( ALT + LMB ; ALT + RMB ) that I cant use in Maya.
Anyone Knows how to Remove these hotkeys ?
