how do i create a script and launch it with x?

Newbie here...

I've downloaded and compiled Gnome 2.4. Now I need to create the script the Garnome webpage gave me and then set it to launch when i start X. How do I do this? I've got the script but I have no clue what to compose it in and then how to make it into a script. After that, how do I set it to launch with X in RH9?

Thanks in advance...

You mean the Garnome-session script ?

Fot that, use your favourite text editor to put it in your ~/.xinitrc file.
