I have a speedtouch 330 usb/dsl modem.

(I know it's supposed to be c**p, but I've never had any bother before).

I am trying to connect to the internet, I am using suse 9.2. The following error message is reported.

using yast for setup

I have connection settings from PiPex which are:-
dail up No - 0,38
primary + secondary DNS - 158.43.240.4 / 158.43.240.3
vpi/vci - 0/38
framing - vc/mux
protocol - pppoa


Any help would be much appreciated, very new to linux but keen to learn.
any tips on good books to buy would be useful. thanks

where you can download a very goog pppoe client I used it long ago and it worked great
