Exclamation how do i config ubuntu7.10 to access web

tks - I tried over a lan to access the web using the linksys router with my wireless broadband modem even though i could access the xp machines shared folders but not the web.- just found the answer in my configuration simple ip address. my bad.though i think many more problems to come

Is your wireless router serving DHCP (dynamic IPs)? If it is, you need to let Ubuntu get an IP from it. If not, you need to set the network settings to point to the default gateway and nameserver. You can use the same settings (other than IP) as the XP box.
