How do i COMPLETELY uninstall Linux and GRUB?

I tried to uninstall Suse 9.2 by deleting the partition from the winxp setup but the system won't boot now... I dont know what to do with the bootloader. Without any bootloader winxp won't start. ANy ideas?

Boot to a windows CD and do fixmbr at the prompt, that'll give you a windows MBR.

nop, that gives me nothing... i tried fixmbr fixboot and bootconfig options from the system recovery but nothing. what now? any other idea?

you could try booting with a windows bootdisk and then fdisk/mbr

Then after that you can use fdisk or partition magic to get rid of the linux partitions, format and your set.

reformat your drive, thats the easyest way.

that'll stop you booting if you don't fix the mbr first.

boot off cd then reformat.

i have 2 partitions. one for windows (which has linux at the moment ) and one where i keep my backup. Is there any possible way to install windows without formating the backup partition? i really need what is in there (its 80 GB) so i cant format or write ALL this data to dvd's. It's kinda impossible. i tried fixmbr again fixboot too but nothing...

Do you want to uninstall Linux? (Why? ¿? )
If yes:
I guess that the backup partition has a win$hit filesystem, am i right?
1) Use a program like: QtParted http://www.icewalkers.com/Linux/Soft.../QtParted.html
You´ve 2 partitions, so:
# Format the linux partition to NTFS/FAT
# Or If you want to keep linux, and have free space on the backup partition, make some room for win$hit there(create a new partition).
2)Put the WinXP cd and install it again, or reinstall it, whatever.
This will take care of the MBR.
Now you´re set,
If you didn´t deleted the linux partition, then:
Put the Fedora cd there and type: linux rescue (or something like that)
Done,
