How do I change the default boot from Windows to Linux?

How do I change the default boot from Windows to Linux? I am not sure what bootloader I have but I think it is grub. I am running dual boot with Fedora Core 1 and Windows but the windows does not work anyway so I just want to boot Fedora only.

If you are using grub edit grub.conf in /etc folder. It its lilo u r using, edit lilo.conf in /etc folder. I'm not sure about grub, but in lilo make default=fedora_label_name.

Good luck

Should I set the parameter 'default' to 0? Fedora is listed first then DOS. Here is the file.

# grub.conf generated by anaconda
#
# Note that you do not have to rerun grub after making changes to this file
# NOTICE: You have a /boot partition. This means that
# all kernel and initrd paths are relative to /boot/, eg.
# root (hd0,1)
# kernel /vmlinuz-version ro root=/dev/hda3
# initrd /initrd-version.img
#boot=/dev/hda
default=0
timeout=5
splashimage=(hd0,1)/grub/splash.xpm.gz
title Fedora Core (2.4.22-1.2115.nptl)
root (hd0,1)
kernel /vmlinuz-2.4.22-1.2115.nptl ro root=LABEL=/ hdd=ide-scsi rhgb
initrd /initrd-2.4.22-1.2115.nptl.img
title DOS
rootnoverify (hd1,0)
chainloader +1

I think here u should change Default=1. I'm not a grub user, but this should be right. Give it a go and post the result.

Good Luck

For those looking at this post for a solution:

I ended up changing the default to "0". Appartently in Linux the keywork "title" causes Linux to see any words up to the next "title" keywork as a desciption of an OS to load. I changed the title of the Windows, the descriptions, the default, and the timeout and all worked fine. The file now look like this:

default=0
timeout=5
splashimage=(hd0,1)/grub/splash.xpm.gz
title Fedora Core (2.4.22-1.2115.nptl)
root (hd0,1)
kernel /vmlinuz-2.4.22-1.2115.nptl ro root=LABEL=/ hdd=ide-scsi rhgb
initrd /initrd-2.4.22-1.2115.nptl.img
title DOS
rootnoverify (hd1,0)
chainloader +1
