How do I adjust screen resolution is Redhat 7.3?
I have RedHat 7.3 installed on my system. How do I adjust the screen resolution from 800X600 to 1024X720.... or whatever it is! :-) Is there a prefs somewhere i'm missing? ;-) Thanks!

CTRL ALT then use the +/- keys on the keypad.

Look in your /etc/x11/xf86config at the modes section and see what modes are entered. If there are more than one,you can ctrl-alt +/- (using the numeric keypad)to change resolutions.

Is that the only way? I tried that, but.... if flashes the screen, but does not change the resolution really.. Just moves my whole screen over to the right. I want it a higher resolution either than 800X600. I know it will work if I resinstall everything, but I'd rather not do that!

please SEARCH the forum, this has been asked LITERALLY hundreds of times, and get's a bit tired reciting the same stuff again and again! :)

Post your screen section from your /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 file

I can see that people are having much more problems with RH7.3 then with RH7.2, though the first one have to be better :)
