How do I access Kmix???

I finally got my sound card to work however whenever I play a cd or some type of audio file the volume is way too low eventhough it shows at 100%. I have read on some posts to use Kmix but I'm not sure how to access it or how to use it??? Do I have to download it or is it in my system already, I have redhat 7.1?????Can someone please help me. Thanks!

if you have kde installed, then you have kmixer somewhere in there. it's probably somewhere in one of the sound folders in the start menu (the button with the gear on it). if you can't find it, you can probably run it from a console by just typing "kmixer". remember, linux is case sensitive, so Kmixer won't work.
