Question How can I restore my kmail and addresses

I have been using Linux Opensuse 11, I copied the kmail folder, on CD so as to create a backup copy, now I cannot restore my mail. I copied the following folders apps, kmail, and kmailrc. Now I do not know how i can restore my kmail and addresses...

please advice, since it contained alot of critical addresses and mail...

Did you restore all the files of the backup?
BTW doesn't kmail has a backup option?

On my system:

The kmail folder should be copied into:

kmailrc stays in:

I think the directory ~/.kde/share/apps/ is too much --- it contains all other things such as kdeprint, kwallet, etc. So I would n't have copied that if I only wanted to backup my mail.

I think your addresses would be OK if you still have kabc within /.kde/share/apps/
