How can I modify the default desktop/menus for new users (KDE/SUSE9)

Hi,

I have installed SUSE9 (my first Linux admin experience, only used Solaris on a Sun workstation before). My computer will be used mainly by me, but my wife and occasionally my brother will use them as well. I had no problem creating the users, setting permissions and the like, bute I have spent some time altering the default desktop (menus, pannel icons, desktop, etc) and would like to share some of this settings with the other users (making it defalut for new users). I am running KDE 3.1.4. I have already found the menu under ~user/.config. But how about other things like themes, fonts, and pannel icons?

Thanks in advance.

The best way to do it would be to set up a new user and login to KDE. Set up the desktop, menus, themes and any default (kde) program preferences. Then copy the ~/.kde directory to /etc/skel and remove the user. When a new user is created, anything in /etc/skel goes into the home directory, and since any kde settings are stored in ~/.kde, this will make them the default for new users.
