How can I make the icons more crisp looking?anti-atlasing?terminal with no frame?
Hello everyone! i was chekcing out some peoples screen shots and i was impressed with
#1. anti-alaising of the fonts, i was wondering how u turn that on so the fonts can look more like MAC OS rendering. #2. How can i make the icons more crisp and clean looking? #3. I saw this terminal that looked pretty cool, i was wondering how i can modify the window behavior to also have no frames so you just see a title bar then the screen with no surround frame. I am going to post a series of screen shots so you know what i'm talking about, and also i'll show you what my desktop looks like. #1 and #2. Here is what my fonts look like and icons on my desktop: http://img492.imageshack.us/img492/3846/fonts11kb.png here is what i would like my icons and fonts to look like: http://mysite.verizon.net/vze8992v/screenshot1.html #3. Here is the terminal I wanted to mimic: Note: i just like the window behavior, no frame i think? http://mysite.verizon.net/vze8992v/gnomess.png Here is my terminal: http://img499.imageshack.us/img499/3803/term4it.png Any help would be great!! thank u :) Note: I have 256 megs DDR GeForce 6800 GT, 1280x1024, refresh rate 60hz |
Just guessing...
Linux distros come with different size Icons---and also allow you to expand or contract the icon size. Search on "icon" and you will find various folders with different sizes--eg 32x32 48x48, etc. Try using large icons and see if that addresses your issue |
Thanks i'll check that out, do you have any idea about the terminal? how you can make it have no frame like in that picture i posted?
