How can I make my router show my computer name
 

Hi,

I've have a computer with a dual boot win/fedora 5.
With windows my router shows the computer name but using fedora it doesn't shows any name.
Without a name I can't locate it in the network places of a windows
computer.
What can I do?

Well the router relies on the NetBIOS protocol (used by Windows) to retrieve that name you see in the router. You'll have to setup samba to see your linux box in network places ;)

Netbios name
 

I've added netbios name = SERVER to samba config but it didn't work. Is there something else that I have to add?
