How can I learn to use CentOS 7 - can't find any learning documentation

Hello there,

I have been using Ubuntu 14.04 LTS server for a few months now, and although I'm still trying to figure out this server system, I'm also looking to setup and learn how to use a CentOS 7 server as well. I realize that there is a learning curve between an RPM system and a Debian system, but I can't seem to find ANY learning material on how to learn CentOS 7. I've spent two days now googling, searching, and trying to find any documentation to help learn the under structure of the CentOS 7 OS. I realize the bash shell commands are similar between Ubuntu and CentOS, but I wanted to try and understand the whole RPM package mangement system but not finding anything for CentOS.

Can someone help me to know where to look or if they have any ideas on how I can learn this new OS?

thanks.

Hi, CentOS is based on Red Hat source, did you check redhat documentations?

Try here:

http://wiki.centos.org/

-:-CentOS is the free version of Red Hat Enterprise Linux-:-

The "CentOS Bible" is helpful and so is "The Practical Guide To Fedora And RHEl 7 "
You can find them online.

Those two books saved me a lot of time and less stress.
Good luck!

It may be worth it to get books or courses on Red Hat.

For the most part all Red Hat, Centos, Scientific and Oracle linux is all the same.

Various Search Engines, such as Google, are your friend when it comes to figuring things you want to learn or troubleshoot.

Given that Centos is a free rebuild of RHEL - https://access.redhat.com/documentat...erprise_Linux/

Thank you all for your suggestions on where to look for info. I wasn't sure if RHEL documentation would work for learning CentOS, but sounds like it will be just what I need.

Thanks again and looking forward to many more questions as I continue to explore this side of the computer world........
