How can I install the GAS tool
 
I have some problems
I am using RH 9.0 (it's out time?)
I want to study more about assembly language
but now how can I install the GAS

I'm sorry that my English is poor, have I made myself understood

I have got sourse from http://oldlinux.org/Linux.old/gnu/gas/
but which one is I needed

RH 9.0 is outdated. If possible; upgrade to distributions like-> Fedora 11; Ubuntu 9.10 etc

d/l, then bunzip it, then i think tar-xvf <file> should do the trick.

doesn't gcc have inline asm?
