How can I grep for 1 weeks of information

I am using Red Hat Workstation 5, 64 bit.

I have some log files located in /var/log/logfiles/data.log and wanted to know the commands I should type againt this file, using grept, to capture the last 7 days of information. Each record begins with a date and respective time the event was recorded.

A million thanks,
Johnny Mac

Hi,

I would suggest you look at this options from whole thread.

I don't really master awk, but it should do what you need.

good luck
