How can I get my Wi-Fi adaptor work under RedHat FC9?
Hi,everyone!I'm new here,and absolutly a newbie with linux. I have a buffalo wireless network adaptor. However I can't get it work. I contact with the Buffalo company, and they replied very clear that they are not gonna make any drives for linux :( for some reasons i can only use wireless connection. so could anyone help me out. thanx a lot!

It would help if you would post the exact model number of your wireless card. It would also help if you went to a terminal and ran "lspci" (no quotes, and you may need to be root) and look for the description of the wireless card. This will tell us which chipset it has, which will make it easier to help you.

Thanks for the tips and reply! Here is the information about my wireless adaptor. it's Buffalo WLI-U2-KG54-AI. and chipset is Ralink RT2500.

If the Linux drivers do not work, and you have the vendor supplied driver disk, then you can use the "ndiswrapper" utility as well.

Make sure you jump for ndiswrapper as a last resort, as it can be a pain to configure and doesn't always work with features such as encryption.
