how can i edit my partition?


hi,
I wanna edit my partition back. I dnt see any partition editor in ubuntu jaunty 9.4. can i edit my partition using livecd? if can. how?

please help...

can you post the output of

fdisk -l
use the command fdisk to edit your partition.

sudo fdisk /dev/sda

If you have Ubuntu installation, you can install Gparted from Synaptic and use it.

There is no graphical partition editor comes pre-installed with jaunty livecd.

Either you can partition with command: parted (see man parted for details, need to be root for usage)

Or you can get a graphical partitioner from here: http://packages.ubuntu.com/jaunty/gparted
