How can I delete LVM PV?

Hello,

I am trying to install Fedora Core 3 on my laptop.
I only have 4 Gig of hard disc.
When I wanted to partition the Hard disc and format it, I found out that 2 Gig of the hard belongs to LVM and I cannot delete or even edit that part and I cannot resize it.
This is the message that appears:
" this partition is a part of LVM Volume Group 'VolGrroup00' ... " cannot delete this partition."

I have no idea about LVM (I found some info on the net), but I do'nt know:

1. How to delete the LVM partition so that I can expand my exe3 hard to install Fedora on it

2. Is it harmful for my computer if I delete the LVM part?

I appreciate your help.
Thanks,
Mandana

Are you trying to re-structure your partitions from booting into the Fedora Core 3 cd?

I have managed to delete LVm's from there (i think it's the standard layout if you let FC auto partition.

You won't be able to delete any of the LVM if you're working from the / on one of it's partitions though AFAIK.

Thank you.
I've tried auto partitioning as well, but it does not delete LVM.
