Introduction to Linux - A Hands on Guide
This guide was created as an overview of the Linux Operating System, geared toward new users as an exploration tour and getting started guide, with exercises at the end of each chapter.
For more advanced trainees it can be a desktop reference, and a collection of the base knowledge needed to proceed with system and network administration. This book contains many real life examples derived from the author's experience as a Linux system and network administrator, trainer and consultant. They hope these examples will help you to get a better understanding of the Linux system and that you feel encouraged to try out things on your own.

I have been a member for quite some years but my Internet Provider forced me to change my e-mail account and I could not find a way actually make that change to my existing account so I entered a new one. I'd like to let the appropriate folks know that my old account CDaniels, crdaniels@earthlink.net, can be inactivated/removed.
Distribution: Currently: OpenMandriva. Previously: openSUSE, PCLinuxOS, CentOS, among others over the years.

If your talking about an LQ account, if it's got posts attached to it (like your new one now has), it can't be deleted. As, the threads you replied to/started would not make sense without your posts there anymore.
This is as good a way as any, although Questions and Feedback would be a better forum! You can also use the Contact Us links available on all pages to ask that the login name be changed.
You can also easily change the email associated with your old login, if you want to keep that one:
1. Login to the old account
2. Click My LQ link at top of page
3. Left sidebar (Your Control Panel) >> Settings & Options >> Edit Email & Passwords
Update the email address and click the corresponding submit button, and you are done!
