Hotkey for application exit?
Is there a standard hotkey to exit an application (in X primarily) if it crashes? I've had a few programs crash using 3d acceleration and if I ctrl alt bkspace of course it just kills everything that's running in X, which is not what I want to do. Also, sometimes if I do this I can't restart X unless I reboot the computer.
I've looked and couldn't find anything about this, but probably just using the wrong search terms. Thanks. EDIT: wanted to clarify I'm aware ctrl c works in terminal applications, just doesn't work for me in X applications. |
Umm
Try alt-F4
At least in fedora core 2, if the app doesn't shut down the second try, it offers a "kill app" window. |
