hi just reinstalled mdk9.2 for the 80000 time everything is good cept for my @this.that.theother isn't what it should be it is someone elses computer name on my school's network it should be doug@cmsustud19.eln.****.edu
asterisk for my privacy but instead it is doug@kevin-mr98239 or something!!!! what the hey. please help ps....... # hostname doen't help

NOW it is box.eln.****.edu all i want is MY monacer CMSUSTUD19!!!!!!!!! is that too much to ask????

although I think it is more of a slackware thing netconfig may work. If it doesn't then you should probably find it in the slew of menus and such they give you.
