Host address

I'm installing epel by wget http://dl.fedora.org/pub/6/i386/epel...6-8.noarch.rpm on Centos 6.8 (Final)
but I'm getting this error: unable to resolve host address in centos 6

Why are you doing it that way?

What's wrong with:

Code:
yum install epel-release

I think you have the URL wrong. Try this:

-->https://dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/epel/6/i386/

Disable or fix remi repo and try again.

Just wondering.

Are you using a proxy.pac file?

Use network tools like dig or nslookup on those addresses maybe.

wget may not be using global network settings.
