Smile Horde Webmail : DB access is not Configured CENTOS 6/mysql

Hi Mates,
I installed horde webmail in centos 6.8
installed postfix nd dovecot.
now by default i can login as administrator to the horde page.

iam NOT able to do update all configurations automatically,
and i seen there is no conf.php file applications path like imp, gollem, kronolith etc. (/usr/share/horde/)
so i manually copied conf.XML file to conf.php
in status its showing application is ready.

but still in database i found an Error : DB access is not configured
how can i solve this error ?
iam newbie to linux and as well as horde webmail
can anyone please help in this ?

thanks and regards
Ram

Did you follow the instructions for installing Horde? There are several steps to configuring the database:
https://www.horde.org/apps/horde/doc...figuring-horde

Those are LITERALLY the instructions from Horde, on how to install their software. If you can't follow them, not sure what we can help you with. Just saying "its confusing" tells us nothing.

Great...so if you followed that tutorial, you can then follow the real instructions from the people who wrote the software.

apart from that everything is Good.
(Even i try to contact them,But I didnt got reply from the tutorial writers)

Right...because again, one is from the OFFICIAL DOCUMENTATION, and the other is not. Which one do you think you should follow????

No there is not...and again, you are getting the errors because you ARE NOT FOLLOWING THE INSTRUCTIONS. Doesn't get simpler than that....unless you CONFIGURE the database, it won't connect or work.

AGAIN, you were given the link to the installation instructions (that are step by step), from the PEOPLE WHO WROTE THE SOFTWARE. But instead, you have chosen to follow some other tutorial. That's your decision.

You need to read the LQ Rules and "Question Guidelines" as well. Don't use text-speak (it's "you" not 'U'), and do basic research/follow instructions first, before posting. Those are the official instructions, from the people who WROTE the software...there was nothing to be 'confused' about.
