Horde groupware webmail installation
can someone help me regarding installation for horde groupware webmail.
I visited the horde website but i don't really get the installation step.
I'm not familiar with the Linux environment so I'll be thankful if someone could provide steps by step guide to the installation.
I plan to install it in Fedora 8.
Thank you.

Welcome to LQ!
It's a lengthy work to produce a tutorial on installation of Horde on Fedora 8. If you already haven't located one by searching the web (which I assume you haven't), we'll have to wait till someone who have tried that with exact specifics answers. Or better, you can try to go ahead with the installation on your own and post the problems you encounter in the process. That way, you'll learn new trick and the members of LQ will be able to help more effectively.
Here's a link to a tutorial to get you started. It's from the Horde wiki and guides on installation on a CentOS 5 box. I guess most of this will work on Fedora 8. And when it doesn't LQ will be here to help.

Good luck.

Hi,
Installing Horde has become so easy. Go to Dag Wieer's website and install his RPMforge package. This will allow you to install Horde with Yum. The URL is: http://dag.wieers.com/rpm/FAQ.php#B Once you have downloaded and installed the package, run the following: yum update yum
yum install horde turba nag kronolith mnemo gollem imp You will now have updated Yum to locate the fastest repository and the second line will install the Horde framework and the most useful plug-ins.
Please look through the README files as Horde can be daunting to configure.
Regards,
Jacques ( http://b-squared.dnsalias.net)
