ok lol...
fixmbr wrecked my partition table so i formatted, repartitioned and reinstalled xp...
i pulled out an old HDD 2.5GB and am thinking i will put slackware on that..

will separate HDD for slack only make dual booting more convienent?

everything working perfectly now dual booting with LILO
