Home Directory Permission Denied

I have setup Ldap Server and Client and setup autofs to automount the ldapuser's home directories.

When I login through any of the ldapuser, it says

su: warning: cannot change directory to /home/ldapuser1 permission denied.

What could be the possible reasons for this?
