Unhappy HLDS - NO Steam

I have searched the google thousands of times but with no result.
I have made HLDS on Windows, with NO STEAM, and everybody can connect (No steam ppl and Steam ppl)....but now i want to make the server on linux....I tried one version, then i tried the steam version, and then i tried to mix files, but no result, i cant find anything in the google, so maybe some of you guys have made HLDS Servers, you could maybe help....i have no idea what to look for....
For people that dont know:
HLDS = Half Life Dedecated Server ( I need Counter Strike 1.6 Version - no steam)
I have Slackware 10.2
I have tried One version, it's bin file is ~ 120MB
And i have tried Steam + HLDS Update tool

Can ANYONE HELP ME PLEASE!?

P.S. Not from states, so sorry about my writing style , and spelling mistakes.....

Surely You Jest

You've googled "thousands of times" and got no results on setting up a Half-Life server under Linux? Not a single installation guide? No hits from this forum? Nothing from Valve? Nothing from the 9,774 HL, HL2, CS, or DoD forums? Not even:

http://japje.nl/steam/install

I find this incredibly difficult to believe.

There Is More Than One Search Tool

Well, when I say google I could mean google or yahoo. Yahoo turned up a Linux installation guide for a non-Steam CS Server.

http://www.repeatoffender.net/users/phorcephed/nowon/

And an entire "Steamless" site:

http://www.steamlessproject.nl/forums/qf/

You do realize that running a HLDS Source server without going through Steam is technically in violation of the EULA, right? I'm assuming this is just for LAN parties?

Clan Server

It is quite easy to set up a server and configure it so only clan members can join. That's no reason to run outside of Steam. The only way I know of to connect to a "Steamless" server is with a cracked client, and I think this forum frowns on warez.
