Hicking up the learning curve!

Hi All,

Just thought I'd share. I'm not new to linux but was stuck at the whole configuring/building/installing new kernel thing. It's been bugging me for awhile that I couldn't do this. With some research, trial and error and help from you guys I FINALLY HAVE DONE IT!!! My god, I even know what an initrd.img file is now and what it does (was driving me a little crazy). It may seem easy for others but its a big freakin' deal for me. Now I feel that I have

1) Just learned quite a bit and moved up the learning curve
2) Entered a new realm that's both a bit scary and exciting

This is why I love linux. Daunting at times but sooo rewarding in the end.

Thanks for the encouragement and help,

ab

Talking More learning curves await…

Now that you’re further up the “linux” learning curve, there is no doubt that you will tackle text editors soon. Here are a few classical learning curves for some common text editors which I thought everyone would enjoy.
