Lightbulb Hibernating Linux

Is there a way of hibernating in linux just the way we have in Windows? I am using SuSe 9.3 Pro and they have the "suspend" mode but no hibernating mode. Please let me know how I can create such mode.

Thanks!

Aki

But....where do I type this in? In the Console? Will I have to do the same everytime I wish to hibernate? Is there a way of creating a "button"?

you can create a desktop shortcut icon on KDE (if you use KDE), or even create a key binding (keyboard shortcut)
