Hi! Again! after mucking up the first line. Great start.
I was saying that I use rock solid Debian Etch for day-to-day use. On another Drive I am investigating Lenny and all seems fine except that to watch a DVD I have to go to root. Knowing this is not the right thing to do I would appreciate information how to over-come.
TIA Bill.

Well, I have never used Debian but my first action would be to make sure that my regular user is part of the audio and video groups. You need to have access to eg the dvd device in order to use it.

Or maybe you are getting any other error messages?

Yes, as I recall, you will have add the regular users to the A/V groups.
