Exclamation hi linux experts


hello,can u help me in this thread, i'm studying debian & downloaded dns bind9,dhcp etc.,at debian.org stable distro,i already executed what the readme tells me to do,./configure,make,make install with no problem that arises,the thing is that how can i install the packages after,i understand that this isn't a .deb format that i can't use dpkg -i,when i execute /etc/init.d/service start it says that the package isn't installed,can u assists me in how to install it & to be able to run the service?

One thing also can anybody also provide me a freedownload site for PERL scripting tutorial, i am interested to study PERL scripting.

For Pelr you can start here: http://perldoc.perl.org/ full Perl docs, with examples plus tutorials (see left hand menu)
