Hi, I'm having problems to start up my system. It displays "LIL- "at startup

I still have problems starting up my system, it dispalys LIL- at startup.
I have tried a live CD and I could only get to the shell that dislays "-/bin/sh-2.05b#" at the prompt and I can only do "ls -al", but I don't know the commands to use to edit the /etc/lilo.conf, 'cos I know that's where the problem came from.

Waiting eagerly 2 receive a sol.

Thanks

Which distro is this?
What did you install it to?
How did you install it?

Looks like it's hanging at LILO Stage 1.5 or whatever the first LILO message is.
Please confirm.

I'm sorta new to this too but sounds like you are having issues with LILO. You might pop in a LiveCD and try to fix the issue from there.
